John Robert Dicksee - 'The Parting Glance', oil on canvas, signed with monogram recto, titled and dated 1867 verso, 37cm x 29.5cm, within a gilt composition frame. Note: this work was exhibited as number 534 at the Society of British Artists in 1867, and mentioned in the Art Journal the same year as a 'pretty little picture(s)'.
