An early/mid-19th century 1818 pattern French grenadier officer's shako, the leather body with woven gilt thread band, the pressed copper-coloured metal badge depicting the Gallic cockerel on a trophy of arms, with copper metal mounted chin-straps with scale design and flaming grenade bosses, height 20cm.
