LOT 1154
A George III and later oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell, the square brass dial with matt centre and single hand, framed by a silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and inscribed 'John Muzzell Horsham', the later case with moulded pediment above a glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with rectangular door, plain base and bracket feet, height 203cm, with pendulum and weight (alterations and restoration). Note: John Muzzell was born in Bolney circa 1730, the brother of Cornelius I. He was recorded working in Horsham in 1784 before his death in 1789.
