An early 20th century hot air ballooning interest desk timepiece, the rectangular dial painted with a scene of the Montgolfier Brothers balloon launch of 1783, depicted flying above the Palace of Versailles and grounds, with black Roman hour numerals, the base with bulb compartment for illumination, height 19cm (some faults).
