A large stoneware vase and cover in the Chinese taste, probably Mason's, circa 1820, the blue ground richly gilt with lotus and peony flowers and overpainted with an exotic bird to one side, opposing gilded butterflies amidst grasses, flanked by dragon handles, the cover with Buddhistic lion finial, height 58cm (converted to a lampbase, minor faults).
