LOT 1137
A mid-18th century oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell, the 10-inch brass dial with matt centre, engraved with birds and scrolling foliage, date aperture and applied plaque, inscribed 'John Frost, Chichester', the chapter ring with Roman hours and outer Arabic minutes, cornered with cast and pierced gilt spandrels, the hood with dentil cornice, glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with rectangular door, above a plain base, height 187.5cm, with pendulum and weight (some faults).
