A William IV rosewood cased four glass table timepiece with brass single fusee movement, the backplate signed 'E Thompson 181, Sloane St. Knightsbridge No. 1272', the similarly signed silvered arch dial with black Roman numerals, the case with scroll mouldings and bevelled glass panels on a stepped plinth base with brass ball feet, height 29.5cm, with pendulum and winder. Note: Ebenezer Thompson was a watch and clockmaker, and is recorded working from Sloane Street, Knightsbridge, between 1830 and 1840.
