LOT 1240
A late 19th century French ormolu and porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and inscribed 'Simpson & Co à Paris', the case surmounted with three boys playing pétanque, the oval porcelain body painted en grisaille with cherubs in a woodland landscape on a blue ground, on an ormolu acanthus wreath base and toupie feet, height 37.5cm, with pendulum.
