TRAVEL & EXPLORATION. - Henry YULE. The Book of Ser Marco Polo, the Venetian Concerning the Kingdoms and Marvels of the East. London: John Murray, 1921. 2 vols., third edition, 8vo (228 x 142mm.) Portrait frontispiece, numerous uncoloured photographic plates, folding maps and facsimiles and illustrations. (Mild toning.) Original green pictorial cloth, two black morocco lettering pieces to the spines, gilt lettering (bumped to spine ends). Note: the work that clarified Marco Polo's route, matching his travels as recorded in his Livre des Merveilles du Monde with present day locations. - And a further volume (Henri Cordier's 'Ser Marco Polo, notes and addenda to Sir Henry Yule's edition', 1920, 8vo) (3).
