A George III oak longcase clock with crossbanded decoration, the eight day movement striking on a bell, the 13-inch square brass dial with engraved matt centre, silvered subsidiary seconds and date aperture, framed by a silvered chapter ring inscribed 'Coats Wigan', the hood with swan neck pediment and turned urn finial above turned columns and glazed door, the trunk door flanked by turned quarter columns, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 224cm, with pendulum and two weights.
