AUTOGRAPHS. A typed letter signed By Robert Baden Powell on Boy Scouts Association headed paper addressed to 'Dear Matthews' and dated '30th November 1925', 1p. 25.5cm x 20.5cm, discussing the Scouts Movement in Bristol, together with a collection of approximately 46 autograph and typed letters, mostly signed by politicians, actors and literary names, including Olave St Clair Soames, Peter Baden Powell, Nancy Astor, Ethel Snowden, Lord Roberts of Kandahar, Henry Newbolt, Sir Nigel Ross Playfair and Sybil Thorndike. Note: H. Norton Matthews was the author of 'The Three Great Grey Gorillas' first published in 'Bristol Scouting'.
