							LOT 1199
                A mid-18th century brass wall alarm clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell, the breakarch dial with foliate engraved centre, subsidiary alarm dial and single hand, framed by a chapter ring with Roman hour numerals, below a circular boss to the arch, signed 'Benj Reeves Lamberhurst', dial width 18.6cm, dial height 26.1cm, with pendulum, two weights, two alarm weights and a wall bracket. Note: Benjamin Reeves is a recorded clockmaker working in Lamberhurst, Kent, circa 1740 until his death in 1790. He is also known to have worked on a church clock in Battle in 1774.
