A near pair of early 20th century Arts and Crafts stained oak 'Shakespeare' armchairs, in the manner of E.W. Godwin, possibly by Liberty & Co, the panelled and turned spindle backs above triangular seats, on turned and block legs, height 131cm, width 61.5cm, depth 47cm. Provenance: Toovey's Country House Sale at Little Thakeham, Wednesday 18th October 2000, Lot 26.
