Kegan Paul & Co., 1878. 2 vols., first edition, 8vo (212 x 124mm.) 18 plates, including 10 in colour, folding map in colour. (Lacking front and rear blanks, large tear to map with repairs to verso, toning, two plates soiled to margins, plate at p.100 of volume 1 replaced in facsimile.) 21st century half-calf over marbled paper-covered boards, black morocco lettering pieces to the spines (endpapers replaced). Provenance: Steel Brothers Company (several stamps to preliminaries of both volumes) (2).
