LOT 1103
A George III mahogany circular wall timepiece, the brass eight day single fusee movement with verge escapement, the 10-inch silvered circular dial with black Roman hours and outer Arabic minutes, inscribed 'JNo Lloyd, Minories, London', within a moulded circular surround, the case box with hinged doors to side and underside, diameter 36cm. Note: John Lloyd is recorded in 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' by Brian Loomes as working at Minories, London, in 1781.
