LOT 1156
A mid to late 19th century French ormolu and porcelain mantel clock, the eight day movement with silk suspension striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the enamel dial with Roman numerals and inscribed 'Payne', the drum case cast with foliate surround, flanked by a seated putto on a rococo scroll moulded base, framing a Sèvres style porcelain panel, painted with cupids within gilt and bleu céleste borders, height 22cm, with pendulum (some faults), together with a late 19th century mahogany mantel clock case with white enamel circular dial, the arched surmount with brass finials above boxwood line inlaid decoration, brass columns and bracket feet, height 29cm (lacking movement).
