Oswald Birley - 'Sir Gordon Cunard Bt', oil on canvas, signed and dated 1930, 125cm x 100.5cm, within a Louis XIV style gilt composition frame with applied inscribed plaque and foliate scroll crestings and mouldings. Note: the Cunard Baronetcy, of Bush Hill in the County of Middlesex, was a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom created in 1859 for Samuel Cunard, the Canadian-born British shipping magnate.
