LOT 1094
An early 19th century oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the 12-inch square painted dial with black Arabic numerals and inscribed 'W. Lasseter, Arundel', the hood with moulded pediment, glazed door and turned columns above a rectangular trunk door, plain base and plinth, height 194cm, with pendulum and weight. Note: William Lasseter is a recorded Sussex clockmaker working in Arundel with business advertised as established in 1760 and still trading in the early 20th century.
