LOT 1154
A 19th century oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the 12-inch square painted dial with Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'T. Amoore Worthing', the hood with moulded pediment, glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with rectangular door above a plain base and plinth, height 190.5cm, with pendulum and weight. Note: Thomas Amoore is a recorded clockmaker working in Worthing, West Sussex, between 1841 and 1878.
