An interesting 19th century Javanese kris dagger with watered steel blade, blade length 29cm, the finely carved hilt in the form of Jawa Demam, its wooden scabbard detailed in ink 'This kriss was acquired by Froome Talfourd, Colonel, whilst on service on HMS Ariadne Capt Marryat the celebrated novelist 1831 - and was presented to Duncan Milligan in 1881', together with related label.
