A George III figured mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch brass breakarch dial with silvered subsidiary strike/silent dial to arch above a silvered chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, framing a matt centre with recessed silvered subsidiary seconds, date aperture and applied silvered plaque, inscribed 'Allam & Clements, London', the hood with pagoda top and brass finials above a moulded arch pediment and glazed door, flanked by a pair of brass stop-fluted columns, the trunk with arch door, on a panelled base and plinth, height 251cm, with pendulum, two weights and case key. Note: the partnership of Allam and Clements is recorded between 1764 and 1795, working out of their premises at 119 Bond Street, London.
