BINDINGS. - [Robert Smith SURTEES.] [Sporting Novels.] London: Bradbury, Agnew & Co., [N.d. circa 1888.] 6 vols., 8vo (87 hand-coloured plates by John Leech. (Toning, some spotting to plate margins in 'Handley Cross'.) Contemporary red half morocco over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt vignettes to spine, t.e.g. (light rubbing to extremities). Provenance: William Holloway (bookplates to front pastedowns). - And a further twenty-four volumes of leather-bound books (including Edward Gibbon's 'The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, 12 vols., 1819, 8vo). Provenance: from the estate of the late Frank Warren (30).
