                Pierre Joseph Buchoz - Flowers Cultivated in the Gardens of China, nine engravings with later hand-colouring on laid paper, published by Lacombe, Paris, circa 1776-1779 for 'Collection Précieuse et Enluminée des fleurs les plus Belles et les plus Curieuses, qui se cultivent tant dans les jardins de la Chine que dans ceux de l'Europe', each 28cm x 19.5cm, all within matching gilt frames. Note: Buchoz was the first European to incorporate the Chinese style into Western Art via this publication, the hybrid style would become popularly known as Chinoiserie.
