A late Victorian gilt brass reading lamp by W.A.S. Benson & Co, fitted with an adjustable reflector above a circular reservoir and four shaped feet, bearing maker's stamp to reflector arm and one foot, height 43cm (converted to electricity and some wear to surface). Note: this design is illustrated in 'W.A.S. Benson Arts and Crafts Luminary and Pioneer of Modern Design', edited by Ian Hamerton, plate 86.
