A George III period officer's sabre with curved single-edged blade, blade length 72cm, detailed with engraved foliate and trophy designs and 'G.R' cypher, gilt brass openwork hilt with crowned 'G.R' cypher, wire-bound leather grip and brass mask pommel, with brass mounted leather scabbard, the mounts engraved with 'Forward' and double-headed Imperial Eagle.
