LOT 63
William Belch (publisher) - 'Going out as Midshipman', 'Returning as Lieutenant', 'Promoted to Admiral and takes Command of the Fleet', 'Boarding and Capturing a Spanish Ship', four early 19th century engravings with later hand-colouring, each 20cm x 24.5cm, all within verre églomisé mounts and carved gilt frames. Note: scarce, we can find no other examples of this attractive set of maritime prints. Provenance: Vice-Admiral Sir Frederick Donald Gosling (displayed in his yacht 'Leander G.').
