An 1827 pattern Rifle Brigade officer's dress sword with slightly curved single-edged blade, blade length 84cm, etched with foliate bands and detailed with 'VR' cypher and '39 Middlesex Rifles' around a slung bugle, gothic openwork hilt with crowned bugle and wire-bound fishskin grip, with steel scabbard with double suspension rings.
