A rare mid/late 19th century Tranter's Patent third model 38-bore self-cocking five-shot percussion revolver, No. 16965 T, with sighted octagonal barrel, barrel length 17.8cm, detailed 'Cogswell & Harrison, 223 & 224 Strand, London', engraved foliate and line borders, Tranter's Patent double-trigger and rammer, chequered wooden grips and steel butt plate, retaining virtually all original blueing, together with its original green baize-lined mahogany case with various loose contents, including bullet mould, shot flask and percussion cap boxes.
