EPHEMERA, CONFEDERATE STATE BONDS. A collection of 17 'Seven Per Cent Cotton Loan of the Confederate States of America' bonds, comprising 6 bonds from Series A, 1000 Pounds - 25000 Francs Nos. 756, 763 (framed), 813, 1048, 1256 and 1412, 3 bonds from Series B, 500 Pounds - 12500 Francs Nos. 553, 1281 and 1283 (framed), 7 bonds from Series C, 200 Pounds - 5000 Francs Nos. 405, 483, 1113, 1114, 1115, 1116 and 1117, and 1 bond from Series D, 100 Pounds - 2500 Francs No. 353, all bonds with 36 coupons attached, signed by Emile Erlanger as contractor and John Slidell as commissioner, circa 1863.
