A rare pair of Derby Russian shepherd and shepherdess figures, circa 1820-40, based on Jean-Baptiste Tilliard's 'Les Bergers Russes', he leaning against a pile of rocks whilst playing a flute, she leaning on a tree stump, raised on naturalistic gilt edged circular bases, red printed factory marks and incised 'No. 393' to bases, height 26cm (some restoration).
