A large Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica circular platter, late 19th century, painted with a titled specimen of Potentilla Frieseana beneath the gilt serrated rim, underglaze blue wave mark and painter's numeral, black script title, diameter 35.5cm (minor chip to rim). ¦Provenance: purportedly a gift from the Danish Royal Family to their children's tutor Albert Andresen. One of the children he allegedly taught was Princess Alexandra, who became the wife of Edward VII.
