Elizabeth Wolf - 'Trevor Howard', mid-20th century charcoal, signed recto, titled verso, 48.5cm x 38.5cm, within a painted wood frame. Note: this portrait of notable stage and screen actor Trevor Howard was exhibited at the 'Exhibition of Paintings and Drawings by Elizabeth Wolf' held at The Studio Club, Piccadilly, in October 1950. According to a review published in the 'Weekly Post' (published 1st November 1950), it was executed at a 45-minute sitting with the actor the evening before the exhibition opened on 21st October 1950.
