A late 19th century French mounted and painted mantel timepiece in the form of a diminutive longcase clock, the circular enamelled dial with black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, inscribed 'Costain... Madeleine', the case with brass foliate mounts and floral painted decoration on a green ground, glazed front panel and hinged back door, height 49cm, with pendulum.
