A Continental tin glazed earthenware rectangular panel, probably Italian, late 19th century, painted with a female depiction of Night seated at the head of a carriage pulled by bats, accompanied by an owl, Morpheus asleep behind her, blue painted marks amidst the painted decoration and monogram to lower front right corner, impressed numerals to reverse, 34cm x 24.5cm (repaired), together with a later plaque painted with two maidens, 28.5cm square.
