Motley Theatre Design Group [Elizabeth Montgomery, Margaret Montgomery & Sophie Harris] - 'Sketches for Henry' (Henry II in 'Becket'), watercolour with gouache and pencil, signed recto, titled to Wright Hepburn Gallery label verso, circa 1960, 32.5cm x 26.5cm, within a silvered wood frame. Note: the 1960 Broadway production of 'Becket' featured Laurence Olivier as Becket and Anthony Quinn as Henry II. The Motley Theatre Design Group were awarded the Tony Award for Best Costume Design.
