John Vine of Colchester - A Hereford Heifer bred by Mr. Lewis of Breinton near Hereford and Exhibited by Mr. Samuel Druce of Eynsham, Oxon, at the Smithfield Club Cattle Show, 1852, 19th century oil on canvas, signed recto, label verso, 49.5cm x 60cm, within a maple frame. Provenance: the collection of a notable, late Hampshire-based breeder of Hereford cattle; Sotheby's, Chester, 20th October 1988, lot no. 3069.
