LOT 1252
A George III oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch painted square dial with Roman hour numerals and date aperture and inscribed 'E. Garland Rugby', the hood with swan neck pediment, fluted columns and glazed door, the trunk with rectangular door, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 205cm, with pendulum and weight. Note: Edward Garland is a recorded clockmaker, working in Rugby, Warwickshire, circa 1810.
