A rare Ridgway buff stoneware figure of the Dickens character Smike, circa 1840, modelled standing, a book at his feet, on a shaped rectangular base with acanthus leaf moulded detail, impressed factory mark to base, height 20cm (some restoration). Provenance: from the collection of the late Graham and Rhiannon Berridge.
