A 19th century and later Japanese katana with single-edged blade, overall blade length with fittings removed 79cm, the tang signed to both sides, probably later ill-fitted gilt metal box-form guard, decorated with foliate motifs, and fishskin grip, with lacquered and gilt metal mounted scabbard with foliate decoration.
