A late 19th century French gilt spelter and Sèvres style porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the backplate with stamped Japy Frères maker's mark, the porcelain dial with Roman hour numerals and flower festoon within a bleu celeste border, the case with cupid surmount above four flaming urn finials and classical maiden columns, the front and sides inset with similarly bordered porcelain panels depicting a courting couple and musical instruments, on a stepped inverted breakfront base and stepped feet, the case back stamped 'P.H Mourey 69', height 4.3cm (lacking pendulum).
