After Joshua Reynolds - 'Simplicity' (Half Length Portrait of Joshua Reynolds' Niece, Theophilia Gwatkin), 19th century oil on canvas, 76cm x 63cm, within a gilt composition frame. Note: when Reynold's original picture was exhibited at the British Institution in 1823, several full-size copies were made by the artists Shepperson, Smart, Pyne, Markes, Fowler, Cunliffe, Drummond senior, Solomon and Sargeant.
