LOT 1267
An early 18th century eight day longcase clock movement, the 11-inch square brass dial with matt centre, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the chapter ring with black Roman hours and inscribed 'John Hocker Reading', cornered with cast and pierced putti and crown spandrels (lacking bell), together with a later stained pine case and hood, height 202cm, with pendulum and weight. Note: John Hocker is a recorded Berkshire clockmaker working in Reading between 1682 and 1729.
