							LOT 1273
                An early/mid-19th century oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 14-inch square painted dial with black Roman hour numerals and subsidiary seconds and date dials and inscribed 'N. Dumvile Stockport', the hood with swan neck pediment and brass ball and spire finials, the trunk with arched door, on bracket feet, height 212cm, with pendulum and two weights (faults). Note: Nathaniel Dumville I & II are recorded father and son clockmakers working in Stockport from 1820 to 1842.
