                A Victorian marine chronometer, the two day chain fusee movement with maintaining power and bimetallic compensated balance, the 4-inch silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals and subsidiary state of wind and seconds dials, inscribed 'John Fletcher Maker to the Admiralty 148 Leadenhall St London 2914', housed in a brass bowl, diameter 12.2cm, together with a brass mounted rosewood three tier box (lacking gimbal mounts and faults). Note: John Fletcher is a recorded London chronometer maker working from Leadenhall Street circa 1870-1880.
