Christopher Hobbs – ‘Gormenghast and Gormenghast Mountain’ (Designs for the Gormenghast BBC TV Series), 20th century pen with ink, signed with initials and dated ’97 recto, titled Chris Beetles gallery label verso, 20.5cm x 28.5cm, within a gilt frame, together with another similar drawing by the same hand, ‘The School Room’. Note: Gormenghast is a fantasy trilogy written by Mervyn Peake. The series is set in the vast, decaying castle of Gormenghast and was serialised by the BBC in 2000.
