A late 19th century French lacquered brass carriage alarm clock by Margaine of Paris, with eight day movement striking hours, half hours and repeating on a gong, the backplate with stamped maker's mark and numbered '8964', the cream enamelled dial with Arabic hour numerals and subsidiary alarm dial, the glazed case with reeded swing handle above Corinthian corner columns, on bracket feet, height 17.8cm.
