Alfred Field Palmer (British 1877-1951) - ‘A Greek Painter’, profile portrait depicting a sitter who appears to be a pilot, pastel, 44cm x 34.5cm, within a composition frame. Note: Palmer painted many portraits of servicemen and POW’s during the 1914-1918 period. The flying jacket of the sitter suggests an airman. A Pastel Society label on the reverse is fully signed by the artist.
