A group of ten striking Grand-Duché de Luxembourg partial banknote progressive die proof engraver's test strikes for the obverse of a twenty francs note, circa 1966, each in blue/black as later issued with portrait vignette of Grand Duke Jean to left centre, values to opposing corners, on oversized paper/card with near full-plate margins (all extremely fine, some handling marks). Provenance: from the personal archive of the late Alan Dow, master banknote engraver to Bradbury Wilkinson & Co and the Bank of England.
