A rare Central Bank of the Gambia partial banknote die proof engraver's test strike for the obverse of a one dalasi note, in brown with portrait vignette of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara on right side, values to top corners only (extremely fine), together with a finished one dalasi note, serial number A 170324 (extremely fine/uncirculated), both tack-mounted on paper, one with cut-out frame. Provenance: from the personal archive of the late Alan Dow, master banknote engraver to Bradbury Wilkinson & Co and the Bank of England.
