LOT 2320
A late 19th century Arts and Crafts mahogany centre table by Morris & Co, the design attributable to George Washington Jack, the underside stamped 'Morris & Co. Oxford St. W. 59080', height 69cm, diameter 61cm. Note: George Washington Jack, a Scottish-American born in New York, grew up in Glasgow and later moved to London, where he was hired by Morris & Co in 1880. His designs, clearly inspired by Philip Webb, were also influenced by the Queen Anne era of furniture making.
